Preface

Serge di Mosole, from Toulouse with Latin accents, has the gift of magnifying world music. An assertive concert performer and talented composer, he never ceases to amaze us with his solos and duets, in which we feel the soul of Brazil, Argentina and Spain. It is obvious that Serge's passion for Heitor Villa-Lobos naturally led him to a composition that bears the mythical title of "Choro n°1". The work is quite successful and I hope, will give birth to other opuses very soon...

We are a duo of guitars and pianists performing various repertoires ranging from baroque transcriptions to contemporary music of the 21st century. We also have your amazing composition "Esperanza" in our repertoire. In a few days we will start the recording sessions of our first album in the recording studio of the Karol Szymanowski Conservatory in Katowice, where we are also studying postgraduate studies in the bedroom with Professor Wanda Palacz and Professor Teresa Baczewska . We would like to tell you that we have chosen your work "Esperanza" to put on our CD. It is a pleasure and an honor for us to perform such a wonderful piece. Serge Di Mosole is one of those composers and musicians who participate in bringing to life and enriching the guitar repertoire. It is always a great pleasure for me to discover his new pieces for our instrument. I am very honored to be the dedicatee of this beautiful farewell waltz. We feel the desire to pay tribute to the great masters of the South American guitar, but also a movement, an energy that suits me perfectly! I carefully examined the pieces of this trptych...Serge Di Mosole first surprised me because his musical writing - and the titles given - do not necessarily refer to the constituent elements of the typical music of my country.

Nevertheless, there is a strong musical identity, a very singular inspiration... Result: "Three Argentine watercolors" magnificent of three cities that I know perfectly.

Rosario, where I lived my early youth, Santa Fe, where I completed my studies through the university conservatory, and Mendoza, the "pearl of the Andes", center of a unforgettable trip with Françoise, my dear wife.

The parts are well made for the guitar, and can satisfy guitarists of the higher level.

A treat for instrumentalists who want to venture into these musical frescoes...."

With this beautiful suite Serge Di Mosole captures the warm, idyllic  and almost carefree sunny lifestyle that suggests  the fun-in-the-sun attitude of Los Angeles, while the 2nd movement (America) suggests more of the broad and open plains and vast spaces that also make up sections  the country. “I Love America” suggests a wide cross mix of different cultures and lifestyles with perhaps a slight bossa-nova accent. I am pleased to be the dedicatee of these three charming works.
